This episode was full of LGBT love, and as a gay advocate I think it‘s great.
Let us start with my favorite Josh Flagg. His new client is the transgender actress and performer Candice Cayne. She may look familiar to you, since she played a senator’s transgendered mistress on the prematurely cancelled TV show “Dirty Sexy Money.” I really loved that show. She is not only beautiful, but also very talented, as I had the privilege of seeing her perform at last year’s GLAAD awards. Candice and two of her friends are looking for a restaurant to make into a night club, where she can perform. Josh takes on the role of a commercial real estate agent, which as a realtor, I can say is no simple task, since commercial is an entirely different business than residential real estate. However, Josh is able to come through, after a tough negotiation with Ed, a “get to the point,” commercial real estate agent. Interestingly, in this episode, Josh mentions his various plastic surgeries. In case you missed them, he said he’s had 3 nose jobs, a chin implant, and an ear lift. Josh, I know you’re in B.H., but that sound like a bit much. Maybe you were just joking.
On to Josh Altman, and the cheese that keeps flowing from this guy. I really don’t get it; sometimes he seems so nice, and then he comes out with some line like “I leased the moon.” I’ve been married a long time now, so I wonder if lines like that work on women these days. Later in the episode, we also find out that he got a call from his mom during the date. Madison claims it was staged to show what a great guy he is. Altman denies the accusation, saying he just has a fantastic relationship with his mom, so they talk frequently. Ok if it was staged, it’s super cheesy and gross. If it’s not staged, that may actually be worse. Why is his mom calling him on Friday nights? Isn’t that like three steps from Norman Bates? Either way, I think Madison has a right to be a little concerned. I would stay on your toes Heather. However, I do agree with her when she says she believes there’s a good guy underneath all that cockiness.
Now to the real estate; Josh Altman is able to find a buyer for the Topanga Canyon property after modifying the advertising. The Freedom Riders charity walks in the door, in full equestrian gear. They offer 1.5 million in cash, and settle on 1.75 million. So Altman sells another property, and I do agree with him, there’s something truly special with matching the perfect property with the perfect buyer; “like true love, it just works.”
As for Madison, he’s listed a number of beautiful high-end properties this season, and there are always interested buyers. However, it seems the property that always gets the most interest is Madison himself. This week the guy from the Russian paper was making the moves on him. Madison’s idea of putting an ad in the Russian paper, when the property is in a primarily Russian area, doesn’t seem that revolutionary. Nevertheless, none of the other realtors thought of it, so fantastic job Madison. Shifting to his assistant Heather, Madison’s being mildly over protective and a bit too involved in her love life with Altman, but he’s only doing it out love and concern for her welfare.
See you all next week as Million Dollar Listing switches to Tuesday night. Two less days to wait; sounds great to me.
